Covered Bridges

The town is fortunate to have three covered bridges, two of which are still in active use for traffic. The Police Department wants to remind all that the posted weight limit on each of the two bridges open to motorists is 3 tons. Unfortunately, there have been violators who have been summoned for exceeding the weight limits. The fine for that violation can be $1000.00. We would ask that all watch over our prized bridges and report violators at once.
